    Think Safety

    For us, the most important thing is allowing our employees to return home healthy. At Mountain States Fence we strive to provide a safe environment through administrative controls, training, and attitude. Safety is an everyday part of our lives. In fact, in 2007 and 2009, we had zero injuries. That's something we are extremely proud of.

    Mountain States Fence is committed to making our work environment as safe as possible. Safety is a core value of our company and we will provide a safe work environment for all of our employees.

    Continuous Training

    Our employees begin their safety training the very first day with Mountain States Fence. We have an orientation program that encompasses construction safety, safety procedures and hazard communication. As their careers progress, our employees receive craft training with an emphasis on safe behavior. In addition, we hold weekly toolbox meetings and "near-miss" discussions that help us eliminate potential hazards.

    Recognition

    Year after year Mountain States Fence is recognized for its commitment to safety. We have been given awards from the Associated General Contractors (AGC), the Utah Labor Commission, and the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) which awarded us the Platinum STEP Award for 2007 and 2008. We also received the National Safety Merit Award for 2008!

    We are proud to be certified by the Browz Group, an independent safety compliance verification service. Browz compiles such information as insurance certificates, licensing, and other safety information.
